I love the Morse Lake Metric. It's the first organized bike ride I ever did. This year I'm trying to convince my wife to join me.
The roads and landscape around Cicero are great and the weather in May is usually cooperative.

Well, I rode the MLM yesterday. Where was everyone? I did the 62 mile route, but bailed out early - at mile 56 - due to the massive wind that plagued the whole ride. Yeah, I know it was only 6 more miles... but you know how it is when your legs tell you that you're done for the day.... |

Seriously? You were there? So was I! It was MY first-ever-ever organized ride. And the wind sucked. (Well, actually, it BLEW!). I wanted to quit SOOSOO bad at mile 56, but I was laughing at some fella who was bailing out ahead of me.  Was it you? I was one of the first starters, and probably one of the last finishers on the long ride. But it WAS fun. And it certainly got me hooked! |

The MLM was awesome this year. It was windy, but not as windy as 2008. Amanda and I did the whole metric. We're studs. |
